Introducing the Sweet Home Paraguay App: The First App That Gives You Full Control of Your Paraguay Presence
The Sweet Home Paraguay App centralizes your mailbox, services, accounting, documents, and payments in one place — Android, iOS, and web.
Most people managing a Paraguay mailbox, residency application, or monthly tax filing are doing it through a thread of WhatsApp messages and a folder of scanned PDFs. A piece of mail arrives, someone snaps a photo, the photo gets buried under fourteen other photos, and three weeks later nobody is sure whether the original was scanned, forwarded, or quietly shredded. The accountant asks for a factura. It’s somewhere. The cédula scan that was sent last March has to be sent again because nobody can find it. The “what’s happening with my residency?” question gets answered with a guess.
We saw this pattern across hundreds of clients. The work was getting done — and getting done well — but the experience of being a client felt like trying to run your Paraguay life out of a cluttered chat window. Important things were happening, but they weren’t visible. The status of a residency case lived in someone’s head. A scanned letter lived in a message thread that scrolled past it. There was no single place anybody could look — client or team — and see the whole picture at a glance.
So we built the Sweet Home Paraguay App to fix it. Not as a side project. Not as a portal bolted onto an existing CRM. From the ground up, designed around how people actually live with us as a firm — and how we actually work.
What it is
The Sweet Home Paraguay App is the first and only app in the Paraguay residency space that centralizes everything a client manages with us — mailbox, services in progress, accounting, documents, and payments — in one place. It’s available on Android, iOS, and the web. One login works across every device. As far as we can tell, no competitor in this market has built one. We say that plainly because it’s true, not because it’s a marketing line.
You can sign in on your phone in a taxi to scan a piece of mail you’ve been waiting for, then pick up exactly where you left off on a laptop that evening to upload a month of facturas. The data is the same data. The interface adjusts to the device. There’s nothing to install on a desktop — the web app is a real, full-featured app, not a stripped-down preview.
The app is the home for your Paraguay life with us. Five pillars hold it up.
Mailbox
Every piece of mail that arrives at your Asunción address shows up in the app with a current status: received, scan requested, scanned, forwarded, or shredded. When something comes in, you’ll see it — with an unread badge so you can’t miss it. The badge clears when you actually look at the item, not when you tap past it, so the count reflects what you’ve genuinely processed.
From the mail item itself, you can:
- Tap to request a scan. Once the team scans it, the content PDF is right there in the app for you to open and download.
- Tap to request forwarding to one of your saved forwarding addresses.
- Tap to authorize shredding when you’ve seen the contents and you don’t need the physical original.
No WhatsApp thread. No “did you get my message?” No screenshots of envelopes flying back and forth. The mail item itself is the conversation. The exterior photo is attached to the item; the scanned content PDF is attached to the same item; the forwarding receipt or the shredding confirmation lives there too. A piece of mail is one card, with a complete history.
If you’re still working out whether what you need is a mailbox or a verifiable residential address — they’re different products for different jobs — we walk through the distinction in our Paraguay mailbox vs verifiable address explainer. More on the mailbox product itself, including what counts as deliverable mail and how scanning timelines work, lives on our mailbox page.
Services in progress
Every active service we’re running for you — residency, RUC, driver’s license, verifiable address — has a card in the app showing its current progress percentage and a clear status label for the stage it’s in.
The familiar question — what’s happening with my application? — becomes a glance at a screen. We update each service in real time as the work moves: documents received, appointment scheduled, paperwork filed, awaiting government response, complete. You don’t have to ask. And if you do want context on a stage, you message us from inside the service itself, where it’s already obvious which application you’re talking about.
If you have multiple services running at once — say, residency for two adults plus a RUC plus a driver’s license — they all sit on the dashboard side by side, each at its own stage, each with its own status. The full menu of services we offer lives on our services page, and most of them flow into the in-progress view the moment you sign up for one.
Accounting
Your monthly tax filing lives in the app. If you have a RUC and you’re on one of our accounting subscriptions — with activity or without activity — this is where the work gets done.
You can upload your facturas (the receipts you’d otherwise be emailing every month), see the tax forms our accountants upload after they file, and request an invoice when you need one. Multiple accounting subscriptions in one household? They’re handled in one place, under one login. The full breakdown of what each tier covers lives on our accounting page.
Document Vault
Some documents get requested over and over: cédula front and back, passport bio page, ID photo, birth certificate, criminal background check, marriage certificate, signature image. The Document Vault is where those live.
Upload once. Use them whenever the team needs them for a service. The vault is shared across multiple people in a household, so families can keep everyone’s documents in one place — children’s birth certificates next to a spouse’s apostilled marriage certificate next to your own cédula scans. When we need a document to push a service forward, it’s already there. No “can you re-send your passport?”
The vault also handles the awkward case where a document needs to be replaced — a passport that just got renewed, a cédula that was just upgraded from temporary to permanent. Upload the new version, the old one moves to history, and every service that referenced the old one now points at the new one. Nothing gets lost; nothing gets accidentally used after it expires.
Payments
Pay invoices directly inside the app. Four methods, all native:
- Stripe (credit and debit card)
- PayPal
- Bitcoin Lightning
- USDT
That’s it. No bank transfers to chase down, no payment screenshots to send over WhatsApp, no waiting for someone to manually verify a wire. The app handles everything end to end. How you pay is your business.
Forwarding addresses
You can store up to ten forwarding addresses in the app — your home in your origin country, a co-working space, a parent’s house, a sibling’s apartment, a PO box in another country — each with its own recipient name. When you request forwarding on a piece of mail, you pick which address it goes to and which name should appear on the package.
This sounds small until you’ve tried to forward a tax document to your accountant in one country, a parcel to your partner in another, and a court summons to your lawyer at a third address — and you realise you’ve been describing each of those addresses in a long voice note every time. Saved once, reused forever.
The addresses are visible on every forwarding request, with the recipient name shown clearly so you don’t accidentally send your own bank statement to your sibling. When something gets shipped, the tracking number lands back on the original mail item in the app. The whole journey of a piece of mail — Asunción arrival, scan, forwarding decision, tracking number — sits on one card you can return to whenever you want.
Verifiable Address documents
If you’re on a verifiable residential address subscription — the one that involves a real Paraguayan lease and a utility bill in your name — those documents are visible and downloadable from inside the app. Your lease. Your utility bill. The proof your bank or your country’s tax authority asks for, when an address has to hold up to scrutiny.
You can request a refreshed utility bill with one tap. We’ll generate the new one and replace the old one in the app, so you always have a current version on hand. More on what kind of proof works for what kind of audience lives on our verifiable address page.
Why this matters
Your Paraguay life used to live in your inbox. Now it has a home.
That’s the change. When you move from a WhatsApp thread to the app, the back-and-forth drops away. There are fewer “did you get my message?” loops, fewer rescanned documents, fewer half-finished questions about which application is at which stage. Every conversation has a context — a piece of mail, a service, an invoice — and that context is always visible to both sides.
It also means you own your records. The lease, the utility bill, the tax forms, the scanned mail, the cédula, the criminal record from three years ago — they’re all somewhere you can find them at 2 a.m. without messaging anyone. If your accountant in your home country needs proof of your Paraguay residency, you don’t have to scroll through nine months of WhatsApp to find the right PDF. You open the app, find it, send it.
And on our side, the app makes us better at the work. When the team can see a service’s full history in one place — every document, every status change, every conversation tied to it — handovers between team members stop dropping things. The knowledgeable local friend you were promised actually behaves like one, because the team supporting you has the full picture in front of them.
What’s coming
We’re building this in public, in the sense that the app you sign in to next month will be different from the one you sign in to today. More service types are coming into the in-progress view. The accounting workflows are getting deeper as we learn what people actually need to do every month. We’re not going to promise specific features on specific dates, because we’d rather ship them than announce them. But the direction is clear: more of your Paraguay life, in one place, on every device.
The improvements that ship are the ones driven by what clients actually do in the app. Patterns we see, requests we hear, friction we watch people hit. We get back to you when you reach out. We also watch where the app makes you tap twice when it should make you tap once.
If you’ve used the app and you’ve thought this part should work differently — tell us. The app you’re using is shaped by exactly that kind of feedback. We’ll know your name when you write in.
What to do next
Open the App — sign in if you’re already a client, or create an account to get started. The app sign-up is the conversion. There’s no demo to schedule, no sales call to book.
If you’re earlier in the journey and still figuring out whether Paraguay is the right move at all, our Sweet Home Paraguay Planner builds a personalised residency roadmap from five short questions — free, with no account required.
